As you can imagine, sending several dozen work crews to Appalachia is a costly venture. One of our major fundraising activites is selling shares of ASP stock. We ask each volunteer to sell 20 shares at $10 each. (Here are directions for how to sell stock--ideas about to whom you can sell stock)
We ask that half of the shares be sold by the 1st Orientation and when you turn those in, you get your buddy form. Your buddy form is the place to let us know, in order of priority, which three people you've like to have at your center - you are promised at least ONE of those listed. (That person will not be on your work crew.) The rest of the shares are due at the 2nd Orientation. Remember, there is no maximum - sell as many as you can, because it does take more than 20 shares per person to run this mission trip.
